What you will do
- Own and optimize product-line performance by improving process flow, reducing cycle time, increasing throughput, and minimizing waste.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives using 5S, standard work, line balancing, and visual management.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for safety, quality, and delivery issues.
- Design manufacturing cell layouts, material-flow improvements, workstations, tooling, fixtures, and equipment enhancements.
- Implement Engineering Change Orders and maintain process documentation, visual work instructions, and operator training.
- Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers on cost reduction, quality systems, audits, and new product or supplier development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, from an ABET-accredited program; relevant experience may be considered instead.
- At least 1 year of Production, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering experience in an assembly, fabrication, or production-floor environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools, quality-focused processes, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to follow applicable laws, codes, regulations, company standards, and manufacturing safety practices.
- Must work onsite at the Fort Worth, Texas manufacturing facility.
- Employment eligibility, background checks, and required pre-employment testing are conditions of employment.
Nice to have
- Experience with cycle-time analysis, line balancing, or workflow optimization.
- Six Sigma methodology experience.
- ASME experience.
