Continuous Improvement Specialist II (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, with routine visits to manufacturing areas and occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations.

What you will do

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve process performance, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Partner with plant leadership, supervisors, and frontline employees to diagnose process issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Facilitate improvement events, workshops, structured problem-solving sessions, and training activities.
• Conduct on-site evaluations, identify non-standard conditions, and help restore process stability.
• Develop and maintain standardized work practices and process documentation.
• Analyze performance indicators, benchmark industry practices, and prepare data-driven updates for leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement principles, process waste reduction, and structured problem solving.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to build relationships, influence employees at all levels, coach teams, and support organizational change.
• Ability to work on-site in an office and manufacturing environment, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise, industrial equipment, and required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning or a related manufacturing industry.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
