Specialist II - Lean Manufacturing

Location: Tanner, Alabama, United States; onsite. Ability to travel 25% to other locations within the specified region.

What you will do

• Implement improvements to production process flow and existing manufacturing operations.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools to optimize labor resources and systems, create flow, implement 5S, and reduce waste.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Support value stream mapping and kaizen events.
• Lead root-cause problem solving and recommend or implement corrective actions.
• Develop and document KPIs, control charts, process-capability analyses, and systems that sustain continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field plus 3+ years of successful Lean implementation experience, or a high school diploma plus 5+ years of relevant Lean implementation experience.
• Practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with a strong focus on Lean Manufacturing operations.
• Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and methods, continuous improvement, and waste elimination.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, computer, communication, facilitation, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding, and changing environment.
• Proactive, self-motivated, hands-on approach with strong change management, team-building, and rapid-execution abilities.
