Specialist II - Lean Manufacturing (Lean Manufacturing): Improving production process flow and manufacturing operations with an accent on waste reduction, labor optimization, safety, quality, and productivity. Focus on value stream mapping, kaizen events, root-cause problem solving, KPI development, and implementing sustainable corrective actions in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Location: Tanner, Alabama, United States; onsite. Ability to travel 25% to other locations within the specified region.

What you will do
- Implement improvements to production process flow and existing manufacturing operations.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing tools to optimize labor resources and systems, create flow, implement 5S, and reduce waste.
- Improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Support value stream mapping and kaizen events.
- Lead root-cause problem solving and recommend or implement corrective actions.
- Develop and document KPIs, control charts, process-capability analyses, and systems that sustain continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field plus 3+ years of successful Lean implementation experience, or a high school diploma plus 5+ years of relevant Lean implementation experience.
- Practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with a strong focus on Lean Manufacturing operations.
- Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and methods, continuous improvement, and waste elimination.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, computer, communication, facilitation, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding, and changing environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, hands-on approach with strong change management, team-building, and rapid-execution abilities.
