Senior Data Engineer (Azure)

Location: Las Vegas, NV, United States

Salary: $121,116–$151,395 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines for large-scale data processing and analysis.
• Build ingestion, curation, provisioning, analytical, and data product solutions for first-party and third-party data.
• Design advanced data products, intelligent APIs, and scalable data platform architecture supporting BI, AI/ML, and data science.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, integrate new features, and ensure scalability, maintainability, extensibility, flexibility, and data integrity.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, including peer development and code reviews.
• Promote test-driven development and CI/CD practices across the data engineering workflow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of data engineering experience with full-stack capabilities and at least 10 years of programming experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in data architecture, data modeling, data quality frameworks, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka or Event Hub, NoSQL, data warehouses, RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience designing Azure data solutions using services including ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, IoT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, HDInsight, Databricks, Cosmos DB, and ML Studio.

• Experience with machine learning and ML pipelines.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and real-time integrations.
