Senior Data Engineer (Databricks/Azure)

What you will do

• Design and implement robust, componentized, and scalable data processes for the business intelligence platform.
• Build, optimize, and analyze large-scale data solutions using big data and cloud technologies.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical deliverables while identifying dependencies, risks, and roadblocks.
• Design and improve data integration and ETL pipelines, system performance, and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT management, development teams, technical delivery teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain code, architecture, documentation, system stability, and data engineering best practices while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on SQL development experience.
• 8+ years working with relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing scalable solutions with Python or a similar object-oriented language.
• Proficiency with Databricks, Spark, Delta tables, Lakehouse architecture, and Medallion architecture.
• Experience designing ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory or an equivalent platform, and deploying secure, monitored, and cost-optimized cloud solutions, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
