Methods Engineer (PCB Manufacturing): Developing and improving manufacturing methods, documentation, tooling, and processes for printed circuit board assemblies with an accent on process efficiency, quality requirements, and design for manufacturability. Focus on analyzing yield and statistical process control data, implementing corrective actions, supporting production-floor issues, and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
Location: Stafford Springs, Connecticut, United States; onsite manufacturing role. Access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

What you will do
- Create and maintain bills of materials, configuration-control documents, work instructions, and other internal manufacturing documentation.
- Develop efficient and consistent manufacturing methods for printed circuit board assemblies while meeting customer quality requirements.
- Identify improvement opportunities across manpower, methods, materials, machines, measurements, and the work environment.
- Analyze yield and statistical process control data, define corrective actions, and support RCCA and 8D activities.
- Review assembly processes, define manufacturing tooling, implement engineering change orders and manufacturing change notices, and support production-floor technical issues.
- Provide design-for-manufacturability support, participate in customer documentation reviews and audits, prepare project plans, and verify compliance with customer and industry requirements.
Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, bills of material, specifications, and customer documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, programming requirements, setup, and maintenance procedures.
- Experience with basic hand tools and machine shop equipment, plus mechanical assembly skills.
- Strong organization, computer, and cross-functional communication skills across engineering, quality, and operations.
- Must comply with US export-control, ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements; ITAR product and technical-data access is limited to US citizens and US permanent residents.
Nice to have
- Engineering experience in a PCBA environment.
- Working knowledge of industry and military standards.
- Experience with Oracle MRP, SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software.
