Multi-Media Journalist (Broadcast Journalism)

What you will do

• Report news stories on camera and describe the background and details of events.
• Write, shoot, edit, voice, and produce news content for broadcasts, websites, social media, and other digital platforms.
• Research events and conduct interviews to develop relevant local stories.
• Pitch story ideas and collaborate with news managers and producers to set priorities.
• Engage with viewers and users on social media platforms.
• Maintain journalistic integrity and production quality while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of reporting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ad-lib ability, and a strong on-air presence.
• Videography and video editing skills; Adobe tools are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Availability to work any shift and outdoors in varying weather conditions when required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Bit Central, and ENPS.
