Multimedia Specialist III (Video Production)

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; on-site. Some travel is required in support of ONR events.

What you will do

• Produce and edit audiovisual and photographic materials supporting command communication goals.
• Create approximately 15 three- to five-minute videos about ONR-sponsored technology using Government Furnished Equipment.
• Document up to four ONR events per year on-site and produce feature-length audiovisual products using Contractor Furnished Equipment.
• Distribute completed products through video news releases, the ONR website, and other communication channels.
• Apply industry audiovisual standards and Section 508 requirements, ensuring products are suitable for commercial news outlets when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in visual communications, video production, or a related broadcast field from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of recent experience as a Multimedia Specialist in public affairs or corporate communications.
• Experience with scriptwriting, caption writing, video editing, videography, video production, and still photography.
• Proficiency with digital video cameras, video editing software, Adobe Photoshop CS4/CS5, Adobe Premiere, PC and iOS operating systems, video format conversion, and color correction.
• Ability to create motion graphics and manage lighting, sound design, story development, and video interviews.
• Familiarity with Navy customs, protocols, uniform requirements, and security considerations, plus strong project management and interpersonal skills.
