Multimedia Specialist – Video

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC at House Office Buildings on Capitol Hill; travel required

Provides digital media support to Member, Committee, and House support offices within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer.

What you will do

• Consult with customers and stakeholders to define multimedia needs and deliver videography, video editing, motion graphics, and photography services.
• Create multimedia content for communications, outreach, branding, and social media campaigns.
• Develop visual communication concepts and presentation approaches, collaborating with cross-functional teams and the Senior Multimedia Specialist.
• Support high-profile and complex projects, including work with tight turnaround times.
• Maintain current knowledge of multimedia software and techniques and help train team members on video equipment and software tools.
• Recommend improvements to policies, standards, procedures, communication programs, and multimedia workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Communications, Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience across multiple digital media areas, including video publication or syndication, web production, audio and photo editing, and motion graphics.
• At least 3 years of experience in a consultative digital media environment.
• Professional experience with video and motion graphics applications and equipment, including still photography in field and studio settings.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
• Ability to communicate effectively with elected officials, senior staff, technical professionals, non-technical users, customers, and stakeholders; ability to work additional hours when needed.
