What you will do

• Shoot and edit daily news stories, breaking news, special reports, and assigned coverage with or without a reporter.
• Set up, test, and operate equipment for live and recorded broadcasts, including LiveU and other mobile transmission technology.
• Edit footage to match reporter and producer scripts using on-location or other available facilities.
• Work with reporters and newsroom partners to complete stories and suggest production approaches.
• Drive news vehicles, maintain equipment, upload digital media when required, and manage video archives.
• Troubleshoot field equipment and transmissions while following safety procedures during live events, hazardous weather, and breaking news.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience in Broadcast Communications.
• At least two years of camera and editing experience.
• Bilingual written and oral English and Spanish communication skills.
• Knowledge of Avid Media Composer, i-News rundown, newsroom systems, digital platforms, and emerging technology.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to drive a news vehicle daily.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, set up equipment, work outdoors and in inclement weather, and make sound decisions under deadline pressure.
