Location: Based at KVEW-TV in Kennewick, Washington, United States
Pay range: $20–$27 per hour

What you will do
- Anchor local newscasts, live reports, breaking-news coverage and news briefs.
- Research, pitch, shoot, write, edit and deliver original local stories for broadcast, digital, streaming and social platforms.
- Create vertical video, live social updates, concise explainers, digital stories, headlines and captions.
- Enterprise stories about the people, issues and opportunities shaping the Yakima/Tri-Cities region.
- Apply editorial judgment, journalism ethics, accuracy, fairness and libel-law standards.
- Collaborate with producers, digital staff and newsroom leadership, engage with the community, and operate cameras, mobile devices, editing software and production apps.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience as a multimedia journalist, reporter and/or anchor.
- Professional studio anchoring and effective field and live reporting experience.
- Strong broadcast, digital and AP Style writing skills.
- Ability to tell clear, engaging stories using video, sound, text and social-first formats.
- Strong editorial judgment, organization, collaboration and ability to meet daily deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
