Salary: $106,000–$132,500 per year

What you will do

  • Supervise daily field activities for company and contractor electric, gas, and line construction crews.
  • Plan and schedule new construction, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and training.
  • Assess project scope, assign crews and required skills, and coordinate equipment and materials.
  • Administer damage claims, billing, work orders, records, materials, and construction office budgets.
  • Coordinate with public service commissions, government and highway agencies, and technical services.
  • Lead emergency restoration, safety training, documentation, inspections, and accident investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience preferred; alternatively, an associate degree with 7 years of experience or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience and completion of the relevant progression program.
  • Knowledge of line work, construction, line and gas/electric theory, switching, tagging, labor agreements, safety procedures, leak detection, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NESC, Hazmat, and OSHA industry codes.
  • Valid driver’s license and, where required, DOT operator qualifications.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
  • Availability for after-hours response to storms, emergencies, and critical assignments.
