Supervisor, Substation Operations (Framingham/Dedham)

Location: Framingham, Massachusetts; responsible for Framingham and Dedham, with travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary

Salary: $126,820–$140,910 annually, plus potential incentive

What you will do

• Supervise crews performing construction, maintenance, and repair activities for transmission and distribution substations.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, equipment, schedules, and work methods with maintenance, engineering, field communications, control centers, and contractors.
• Monitor the reliability and condition of substation assets and analyze inspection, maintenance, testing, and operational data.
• Manage employee performance, provide feedback, conduct reviews, and apply local union contracts and agreements.
• Lead safety awareness, compliance, and safe-work-practice initiatives while promoting a customer-first service approach.
• Participate in rotational off-hour on-call coverage, shift work, emergency restoration, and outage response.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of safe construction, operation, and maintenance practices for electric transmission and distribution facilities at secondary and primary operating voltages.
• Detailed knowledge of power system maintenance and operation, with experience in substation facility operation and maintenance preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least five years of relevant experience; previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong computer, Microsoft Word and Excel, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required; visa sponsorship is not available.
