Lead Laboratory Quality Technician (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Coatesville, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite

Starting hourly pay: $47.16 per hour, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Perform complex calibrations, tests, statistical measurements, uncertainty analyses, and laboratory investigations.
• Determine test methods for new equipment and develop calibration formats, procedures, equipment, and material specifications.
• Maintain traceable records, calculate and analyze test data, and document calibration and analytical work.
• Develop and coordinate software programs supporting automated calibration, data acquisition, and electronic calibration records.
• Lead laboratory disciplines, provide direction and mentoring to technicians, and work with vendors and clients on technical problems.
• Support emergent activities and other assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or 60 credits toward a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, PMEL training, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant testing, analysis, calibration, or engineering experience.
• Certification to ANSI N45.2.6 Level 3 requirements.
• Ability to meet minimum and unescorted access requirements for hirify.global nuclear clean energy centers, including required medical examinations and testing.
• Experience or knowledge in calibration, quality control and quality assurance, technical documentation, and measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and train or mentor others.

Nice to have

• Experience with auditing and the ability to obtain Lead Auditor qualification.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 accredited program management.
• Experience with out-of-tolerance reports, inter-laboratory comparisons, proficiency testing, and corrective action processes.
• Ability to assume responsibilities of Manager Quality Integration.
