Quality Technician I (Manufacturing)

Location: Lewiston, Idaho, United States; onsite, swing shift Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

Salary: $32.88–$48.60 per hour

What you will do

• Provide technical support and clarify product and material quality requirements.
• Inspect materials and products using measurement and inspection equipment.
• Conduct material testing according to applicable industry standards under expert guidance.
• Troubleshoot and characterize electrical and mechanical components.
• Identify, contain, and evaluate nonconforming materials, parts, and products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate inspection results and quality findings.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree, technical certification, or equivalent training and relevant experience.
• At least one year of experience in electronics, materials quality, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques, measuring instruments, and tool and test-equipment calibration.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptability requirements.
• Strong inspection, documentation, written communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, sit or stand for at least eight hours, differentiate colors, and perform repetitive tasks.

Nice to have

• Two-year STEM degree.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product flow, sheet metal, printed wiring boards, adhesives, and plastics.
• Knowledge of SEL Engineering Requirements and ISO 9001.
