Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Full-time, onsite role based at the capacitor manufacturing facility in Tucson, Arizona, United States

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and implement inspection protocols, technical checklists, and test methodologies for capacitor production.
• Maintain process control systems, including SPC charts, control plans, and critical-to-quality parameter tracking.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations for process deviations, non-conformances, and product failures.
• Analyze process and test data to reduce variation and support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and validate new designs.
• Conduct internal quality audits and manage calibration, verification, and maintenance schedules for inspection and metrology equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or a similar quality management system and certification-level quality processes.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, process capability assessment, and data-driven quality methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, and test reports.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• Capacitor manufacturing or energy storage component fabrication experience.
• Experience with pulsed-power components or high-voltage energy storage.
• Knowledge of vacuum processing, epoxy or potting chemistry, or precision winding equipment.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with PLM, MES, or PDM systems such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or Boltline.
