Journeyman Technician (HVAC)

Location: Long Island City, New York; field-based work at customer locations

Hourly base pay: $35.51–$54.95

What you will do

• Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to plan installations and repairs, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
• Serve as the direct customer contact while diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems.
• Use diagnostic software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business needs require.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain records for company assets and equipment conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 5 or more years of HVAC experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with an acceptable driving record.
• EPA Certification.
