HVAC Technician - Full-Time/Days (HVAC)

Location: Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, 585 Lebanon St, Melrose, MA 02176. Onsite, full-time day shift, 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday; the schedule may change to Sunday–Thursday after the initial 30-day assessment.

Pay range: $31.92–$39.90 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, inspect, test, operate, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, pneumatic and digital controls, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, and related systems.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and verbal instructions when planning and completing repairs.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules, verify completed work, and maintain required records and reports.
• Respond to repair calls, recommend solutions, report unsafe or faulty conditions, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current HVAC/Refrigeration License required.
• Three years of experience as an HVAC Technician required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, written instructions, and technical specifications.
• Technical knowledge of mathematics and measurements, strong problem-solving ability, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read and write English required. Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, use power tools safely, and work in hot, cold, dusty, and physically demanding conditions.
