Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

Location: Redwood City, California, USA; on-site at the Indigo apartment community

Salary: USD 28–30 per hour, plus potential monthly customer service satisfaction bonuses of up to USD 250.

What you will do

• Provide responsive service to residents and support maintenance team members.
• Complete apartment turns and prepare units for new residents.
• Troubleshoot and repair or replace plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, appliances, and other building systems.
• Provide technical guidance and training to other Maintenance Technicians when needed.
• Support vendor quality management and conduct move-in and move-out inspections.
• Respond to emergency service requests during on-call shifts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in facilities or building environments.
• Proficiency in at least two technical trades, such as plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, or carpentry.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, seven-day work weeks when required, and on-call shifts of at least one week per month.
• Reliable transportation for after-hours emergency service requests.
• Ability to perform physical work, including moving heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
