Senior Chemical Engineer

What you will do

• Lead formulation, innovation, specification, and component production processes for shoe-making polymers.
• Manage shoe-bonding processes across factories and monitor bonding performance, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Lead quarterly quality audits and support manufacturing teams with component and shoe-bonding quality.
• Collaborate with bottom development and engineering teams on bonding projects and participate in advanced-technology initiatives.
• Lead the Restricted Substance List program and standard laboratory operations for rubber, EVA, polymer, and chemical rooms.
• Drive VOC reduction and chemical EHS programs with the CR team, factories, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 5–8 years of professional experience in a relevant discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical engineering principles, concepts, and theories, with working knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to solve complex problems, evaluate multiple options, and develop independent solutions.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, build consensus, and provide subject-matter guidance.
• Moderate travel requirement of approximately 25%.
