User Experience Designer (Fintech)

Location: On site in Westlake, TX or Austin, TX. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: USD $112,300–$155,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces for desktop, mobile web, and native mobile platforms.
• Translate client needs, research insights, business objectives, and technical considerations into usable and accessible experiences.
• Support product design from discovery and concept development through delivery and iteration.
• Apply design-system components and patterns while identifying opportunities to improve clarity and usability.
• Simplify complex financial workflows and information into approachable, trustworthy experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, Experience Design, and Design Systems teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of UX design experience focused on digital products, or equivalent experience.
• Online portfolio demonstrating design thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and high-quality digital product work.
• Experience with research synthesis, user flows, wireframes, prototyping, testing, and iteration.
• Experience designing for web and mobile, including user-centered design processes.
• Ability to apply design systems, accessibility standards, and UX best practices.
• Proficiency with Figma or comparable product design tools and experience working in Agile or similar environments.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience designing touch-based mobile interfaces.
• Experience with iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design, or similar platform standards.
• Exposure to AI-powered tools or workflows for design, research, prototyping, or problem-solving.
• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Comfort collaborating closely with engineers and understanding implementation considerations.
