Web Experience Visual Designer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; hybrid work with four days a week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office.

Base salary: $116,000–$160,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead visual and experience design for high-impact web projects from concept through implementation.
• Design responsive pages, navigation systems, conversion flows, and content frameworks.
• Translate business and product requirements into accessible, visually compelling user experiences.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, brand, and content partners.
• Drive the adoption of design systems and component libraries across web platforms.
• Guide user research, usability testing, A/B testing, and performance analysis while mentoring junior designers and content specialists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in visual or product design focused on web and responsive platforms.
• Portfolio demonstrating interaction design, visual design, and end-to-end user flows.
• Expertise in Figma and experience with design systems, component libraries, and collaboration tools.
• Strong understanding of UX methods, content strategy, human-centered design, and WCAG/AA accessibility standards.
• Experience creating multimedia, dynamic, and engaging web experiences.
• Strong communication, storytelling, agile collaboration, proactive ownership, and familiarity with relevant AI tools.
