HSE & Facilities Specialist (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Review, develop, implement, and monitor site health, safety, and environmental management systems.
• Support EHS standards, continuous improvement initiatives, corporate assessments, management plans, and ESG information requests.
• Coordinate incident investigations, near-miss reporting, KPI updates, communications, training content, and health and safety meetings.
• Assist with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and health and safety audits, SOP creation, and risk assessments.
• Act as the initial contact for facility maintenance issues, emergencies, spills, outages, weather hazards, and incident clean-up.
• Coordinate repair contractors, fire drills, fire marshal records, facility layout changes, and first aid training.

Requirements

• Recognised health and safety qualification, with NEBOSH or equivalent preferred and IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and independently delivering projects with limited supervision.
• Awareness of training, auditing, compliance, and health and safety practices.
• Experience working with data and presenting it in different formats.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a larger team.

Nice to have

• Experience working within ISO 9001 quality assurance and ISO 13485 medical device quality management systems.
• Motivation to progress within the environmental health and safety field.
