What you will do

• Lead the Group health and safety management system and embed consistent standards across the global organization.
• Act as the UK statutory competent person for health and safety advice.
• Manage and develop the international GATES network to ensure local compliance and oversight.
• Design and deliver an audit program to provide the Board with confidence in legal compliance.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to identify and manage operational risks.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions to strengthen organizational resilience.

Requirements

• Ten years of experience in a senior health and safety role (candidates with less experience but equivalent knowledge will be considered).
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Significant experience managing health and safety within an international organization.
• Strong understanding of the commercial context for the insurance industry.
• Ability to connect, consult, and advise senior stakeholders throughout the organization.
