Location: Newport News, Virginia, United States; hybrid work with frequent regional travel and stays away from home

Salary: USD $165,200–$206,500 per year

What you will do

  • Lead operations for an assigned terminal facility group and establish goals for safety, quality, environmental compliance, efficiency, reliability, and profitability.
  • Build and manage an effective operations team through selection, mentoring, development, evaluation, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Commercial, and customer-facing teams.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget, approve expenses, and ensure sustaining capital projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, operational KPIs, contractual obligations, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure maintenance and life-cycle planning for regional assets while directing operations across multiple locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required; a four-year degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of successful experience in an industrial production environment and at least 1 year managing people.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) under USCG/DHS regulations.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to be insured by the company carrier, and successful completion of background, drug-screen, and related pre-employment testing.
  • Good oral and written English communication, computer proficiency, independent work capability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of liquid and bulk storage and handling facilities, including vessel/barge loading, unloading, product transfers, and pipelines; willingness to travel frequently within the region is required.
