Database Engineer 2 (MongoDB)

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain database structures aligned with overall system architecture.
• Develop database parser and loading software, workflows, and process updates.
• Provide database expertise across information storage and retrieval, data flows, and analysis.
• Deploy, manage, debug, optimize, and scale MongoDB databases.
• Support Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data model management using Django and Flask.
• Integrate MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL data models and provide JSON data to user interfaces.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of database engineering experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or an additional 5 years of database engineering experience in lieu of the degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Nice to have

• Python, Django, Flask, REST endpoint development, and microservices.
• Swagger, AWS or other cloud experience, Docker, and JSON/XML serialization.
• Visual Studio Code or a similar IDE, Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
