Salary: $49.67–$81.09 per hour, before benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain relational and object-oriented databases.
• Develop database parser and loading software and project long-term database administration and design requirements.
• Create database structures that align with overall system architecture while balancing data volume, users, distribution, response times, retention, security, and domain controls.
• Support the requirements lifecycle from project inception through system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability.
• Analyze and recommend system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance approaches.
• Create and update queries, scripts, macros, tables, and master files, including database storage and retrieval using cloud methodologies.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph is required.
• United States citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five additional years of database engineering experience in lieu of the degree.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience with SQL and related tools such as SQL Developer.
• Experience supporting short- and long-term database administration and design requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch.
