Senior Java Developer (MongoDB)

What you will do

• Develop backend software using Java and MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Help clients adopt the latest MongoDB version across a suite of applications.
• Design and implement features based on business and technical requirements.
• Contribute actively to team discussions, code reviews, and collaborative solution design.
• Build highly available, failover-capable, containerized microservices with synchronous and asynchronous communication.
• Guide less experienced developers and contribute across different client engagements.

Requirements

• Senior-level commercial experience with Java and MongoDB or another NoSQL database, including NoSQL data modeling.
• Expertise in Java 8+; experience with Java 11, 14, 17, and OpenJDK is preferred.
• Commercial experience with Node or Python and willingness to learn additional technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Spring, especially Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Data.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Highly proficient spoken and written English is required for direct work with UK- and US-based clients.

• AI integration experience.
• AWS Professional Certifications.

Hiring process

• Recruiter screen lasting approximately 60 minutes.
• Two technical interviews with software consultants and technical leads, approximately 90 minutes each.
• Final informal interview with the leadership team, approximately 30 minutes.
