Software Engineer 2 (Linux/Bash/Python/NoSQL/Docker/Kubernetes/Helm/RabbitMQ)

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot the project's software suite, including DINO.
• Implement, test, and integrate software components with COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.
• Develop Python software and Bash scripts using Linux command-line tools.
• Work with NoSQL databases, containerized services, orchestration platforms, and messaging frameworks.
• Support CI/CD practices and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus three years of relevant software engineering experience, or bachelor's degree plus five years of relevant experience, or seven years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Linux CLI and tools, Bash, recent Python 3.x development, and NoSQL databases including MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD tools including GitLab CI, and Git source control.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm charts, RabbitMQ, and Ansible.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
