Middle School Lead Teacher (26.27 School Year)

Starting salary: $50,500 per year for first-year teachers with a bachelor's degree.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned English Language Arts and Reading instruction for middle school students.
• Design lessons and academic tasks that develop analysis, reasoning, writing, problem-solving, and structured academic discourse.
• Provide scaffolds, differentiation, and targeted support while maintaining grade-level rigor.
• Establish strong classroom routines, high expectations, productive struggle, and a safe learning environment.
• Use frequent checks for understanding, student data, reteaching, and intervention cycles to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with the principal, assistant principal, instructional coach, teachers, and regional support staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related content area.
• At least two years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Valid Missouri teacher certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement and growth, use data to inform instruction, and plan standards-aligned lessons.
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to improving outcomes for historically underserved students.

• Experience in a high-performing, data-driven school environment.

• Leadership experience within a grade level, content team, or school initiative.
