KIPP - 1 Year Contract Position: Long Term Substitute Teacher - Elementary School (26-27)

What you will do

• Teach elementary students and bring the school's academic and cultural vision into daily classroom practice.
• Plan daily lessons and design intentional curriculum.
• Analyze student data to support learning and growth.
• Implement Social Emotional Learning lessons and Restorative Practices.
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team and Instructional Coach through weekly meetings and ongoing feedback.
• Support in-class and distance learning through instructional technology when needed.

Requirements

• Experience teaching students with demographics similar to the KIPP Northern California student community.
• Hold a B.A. or B.S. degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Obtain an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit.
• Demonstrate strong content-area knowledge and the ability to build relationships with students, families, and communities.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Have proficient knowledge of Google Suite applications and the ability to learn instructional technology such as Zoom and Nearpod.
