What you will do

• Design and deliver engaging high school mathematics lessons.
• Use student data to guide instruction and support academic growth.
• Integrate Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices into classroom instruction.
• Build a joyful, inclusive, and safe classroom community.
• Collaborate with the school Leadership Team and Instructional Coach through weekly meetings, coaching, and feedback.
• Reflect on identity, equity, systemic impact, and anti-racist educational practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential in mathematics, or eligibility for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required for permit eligibility.
• Strong mathematics content knowledge and instructional skills.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Classroom.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching students with demographics similar to the local school community.
• Openness to learning educational technologies such as Zoom and Nearpod.
