Autonomous GSE Operator

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA; onsite at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

What you will do

• Operate and supervise autonomous airport tractors and baggage tugs while transporting cargo across the airfield.
• Manually drive vehicles between the operating area and storage depot.
• Log vehicle behavior, performance observations, and key metrics.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of vehicles and hardware systems.
• Work with the engineering team to trial new vehicle features and improve autonomous vehicle performance.
• Interface with personnel loading cargo and baggage and help manage complex driving scenarios.

Requirements

• Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments.
• Valid US Class C Driver’s License, at least 3 years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
• Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role with a high level of personal responsibility.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, alertness, driving instinct, and commitment to safety.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends.
• Ability to pass federal background checks and obtain and maintain an airport security badge.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary degree.
• Experience operating in airside environments or safety-critical infrastructure.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, autonomous machinery, or test driving.
• Basic computer programming skills; ROS experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with ATL layout and cargo operations, plus an interest in autonomous driving and aviation.
