Autonomous Vehicle Operator (Automotive)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas, with travel to customer sites in the Dallas-Fort Worth region

Develops and deploys autonomous yard trucks for use in customer facilities.

What you will do

• Monitor and support autonomous yard trucks in real time during operations.
• Provide troubleshooting support for hardware and software issues on prototype vehicles.
• Review log data related to system failures and autonomy disengagements.
• Isolate, track, document, and triage issues systematically.
• Maintain knowledge-base content and diagnostic trees to improve troubleshooting efficiency.
• Interact with customers as a representative of the autonomous vehicle technology.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age, with at least five years of driving experience.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving history, subject to regular MVR checks.
• Ability to work independently, learn new software and processes quickly, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Technical aptitude and interest in modern automotive systems; experience in environments emphasizing safety, procedures, or software testing.
• Ability to work outdoors and use a laptop in a moving vehicle for up to 10 hours per day.
• Availability for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays, plus short-notice travel.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Linux, Google Suite, Jira, Slack, and Git.
