Senior Structural/Civil Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Onsite in Braceville, Illinois, United States

Salary: $122,400–$154,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide advanced technical expertise for nuclear plant engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
• Identify and resolve equipment and system problems as a technical expert and subject matter expert.
• Provide engineering and technical leadership for short- and long-term programs affecting site operations.
• Prepare plans and specifications while maintaining accuracy, configuration management, and compliance with design criteria, procedures, codes, and regulations.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects and programs.
• Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques that improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or meet updated regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, including civil/structural engineering or a related listed discipline.
• At least five years of nuclear or related engineering experience for the senior level.
• Meet additional requirements under ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 for personnel at nuclear power plants.
• Maintain applicable minimum or unescorted access requirements and pass required medical examinations or testing.
• Professional Engineer registration is preferred.
• An advanced technical degree or related coursework is preferred.
