Estimated starting salary: $150,000–$228,000 annually, paid bi-weekly.

Company

An AI-enabled startup developing a fleet-scale approach to deploying safe, reliable, and affordable nuclear reactors through a design-once, build-many model.

What you will do

  • Own consequential technical and programmatic problems across engineering, construction, licensing, supply chain, project management, and executive leadership.
  • Apply expertise in mechanical engineering, civil and structural engineering, construction and project delivery, or nuclear licensing and regulatory affairs.
  • Lead technical evaluations, design reviews, calculations, specifications, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and engineering change control as applicable.
  • Develop scalable construction and project delivery systems involving modularization, prefabrication, work packaging, field execution, and multi-unit deployment.
  • Translate nuclear regulatory requirements into actionable engineering and construction requirements and manage regulatory risk.
  • Use AI, technology, and the Nuclear Operating System to automate workflows, improve decisions, and increase execution quality and speed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in nuclear power, power generation, heavy industrial construction, engineering, infrastructure, or another highly regulated technical environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, structural, nuclear, or construction engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Technical depth and demonstrated success solving difficult engineering, construction, or licensing problems across multiple project lifecycle phases.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear-grade engineering rigor, configuration control, quality assurance, and requirements management.
  • Ability to evaluate decisions across safety, licensing, constructability, cost, schedule, supply chain, and execution risk.
  • Strong communication, ownership, judgment, accountability, and ability to influence across disciplines in a fast-changing environment.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in a relevant specialty.
  • Experience with novel nuclear designs, deployment approaches, or regulatory questions with limited precedent.
  • Experience with ASME, ACI, AISC, ASCE, NRC, 10 CFR Parts 50 and/or 52, or related nuclear codes and standards.

Culture & Benefits

  • AI-first operating model with continuous improvement of the Nuclear Operating System.
  • Purpose-driven environment focused on building new nuclear energy infrastructure.
  • Values centered on transparency, responsibility, unity, scrappiness, tenacity, trust, and safety.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans, generous vacation, and holidays.
