Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: 18251 E Petroleum Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70809, USA. Onsite night shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., five days per week with two days off.

Hourly pay: $31.50/hr

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install electrical and mechanical production equipment.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, water heaters, and water distribution systems.
• Implement, program, and troubleshoot automated machinery and programmable logic controllers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, update maintenance logs, and escalate major equipment issues.
• Maintain building infrastructure, monitor parts inventory and energy usage, and support project scheduling.
• Identify machine safety issues and implement corrective action plans to meet OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Experience evaluating and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in a high-pressure production environment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, electrical systems, controls, mechanical systems, and basic maintenance.
• High school diploma, technical school training, three to four years of related experience, or a licensed journeyman skilled-trade qualification.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions, define problems, draw conclusions, and communicate information clearly.
