Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Salary: $33.44–$47.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment, support systems, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect machinery and systems to identify potential faults and prevent operational disruptions.
• Implement improvements that increase equipment efficiency, reliability, and uptime.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure work complies with established policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior team members or operational technicians when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing repairs, electrical conduit and wiring, voltage and current measurement, motor controls, sensors, and electrical control devices.
• Understanding of mechanical blueprints, fluid principles, preventive maintenance, and positive-pressure requirements in controlled environments.
• Knowledge of refrigerants, condensers, pumps, evaporators, expansion devices, air-handling systems, and safety control devices.
• Ability to follow lockout/tagout and protective clothing requirements and work safely around moving parts.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the role, including occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and standing or walking frequently.

Nice to have

• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment or transformers.
• Ability to solder, braze, and install copper pipe, tubing, and related fittings.
• Experience identifying gauge types and cutting or bending sheet metal.
