Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Pennant Buffalo St., Rochester, New York, United States; onsite, 1st and 2nd shifts

Hourly compensation: $30.00–$38.00, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, and perform preventative maintenance on facility, packaging, and process equipment.
• Execute work orders and assigned maintenance tasks while meeting productivity and quality requirements.
• Diagnose manufacturing controls, including PLCs, AC motor drives, and Rockwell Automation systems.
• Maintain and repair production-line equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read blueprints, as-built drawings, electrical drawings, maintenance logs, and work documentation.
• Support building operations, manufacturing improvements, food safety, and safe production.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience; 2–4 years of manufacturing, facility, or industrial experience is preferred.
• General knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair, machinery rebuilding, welding, fabrication, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Knowledge of steam and pressure lines, air compressors, and filtration systems.
• Ability to use fundamental computer skills; CMMS knowledge is preferred.
• Good written and verbal command of English and willingness to work onsite in elevated areas, on ladders, and around production equipment.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing, facility, or industrial experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Additional maintenance certifications or licenses.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes.
