Maintenance Mechanic (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Onsite at 5923 Loomis Rd, Farmington, NY 14425, USA

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems.
• Repair and replace conveyors, power transmission systems, hydraulic balers, granulators, air compressors, docks, doors, and dock levelers.
• Install and maintain motors, gearboxes, chain drives, rollers, belts, blowers, guarding, plumbing, piping, and tubing systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and components, including motors, fuses, breakers, contactors, sensors, control wiring, transformers, and lighting systems.
• Read schematics and drawings and use electrical test equipment safely.
• Rig and move equipment using chain falls, hoists, forklifts, and tele-handlers.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, piping, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency reading schematics and drawings.
• Safe use of electrical test devices, lifting equipment, chains, and rigging equipment.
• Ability to work one of two shifts: 3:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

Nice to have

• A.S. in Engineering Technology, equivalent vocational training, or related education.
• Welding certification.
• Material handling equipment operator certifications.
• Rigging and equipment-moving experience.
• Electrical safety or NFPA 70E training.
