Maintenance Technician, 6P-6A Fixed Nights

Location: Mentor, Ohio, USA; on-site, fixed 6 PM–6 AM night shift

What you will do

• Diagnose failures, replace defective components, and repair industrial machinery, production equipment, motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic tools, and facility equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power, lighting, control circuits, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, alarms, and complex wiring.
• Work from schematics, technical drawings, diagrams, manuals, and specifications to locate faults and restore equipment operation.
• Perform planned, predictive, and preventive maintenance, inspect completed repairs, lubricate equipment, and prepare new machines for operation.
• Order replacement parts, maintain repair logs and shift metrics, and support engineers and production teams with corrective actions and equipment reliability.
• Maintain plant utilities and facilities, including HVAC, plumbing fixtures, masonry, woodwork, grounds, housekeeping, and waste removal.

Requirements

• Trade school certification or an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent journeyman-level training and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a multi-craft industrial electrician or electrical and mechanical maintenance technician.
• Knowledge of plant utility systems, industrial machine repair, reliability techniques, machine tools, three-phase power, control power, and basic input/output devices.
• Working knowledge of relay logic, DC drives, PLC systems, electrical testing instruments, and evaluation of electrical apparatus.
• Ability to read technical drawings and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel; computer skills are required.
• Must be willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
