Maintenance Technician 2 (Electrical and Mechanical Equipment)

Location: Onsite plant role; second shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Salary: $33.12 per hour, plus a $1 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 4:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

What you will do

• Maintain plant equipment safely and in accordance with production schedules.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment installation and removal, rebuilds, modifications, and calibrations.
• Respond urgently to equipment breakdowns and communicate maintenance issues to leadership.
• Apply lockout/tagout, PPE, OSHA, company safety, and food safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly production and workshop areas.
• Report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and processes that may threaten food safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to read basic schematics and understand simple ladder logic.
• Knowledge of three-phase power, AC and DC motors and controls, basic machine mechanics, and electrical test equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance; basic computer, communication, and math skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with variable frequency drives and PLC troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety requirements.
