Principal Customer Technical Lead

Location: San Jose, California, USA; onsite position with remote work unavailable

Annual pay range: $180,000–$225,000, plus eligibility for bonus opportunities. Final compensation depends on geographic location, experience, and skills.

What you will do

• Work with customer systems engineers to understand platform-level challenges, value drivers, and technical requirements.
• Analyze voltage regulator approaches and determine their fit within customer system architectures.
• Define customer-aligned product roadmaps focused on power efficiency and density for datacenter products.
• Prepare technical proposals, executive summaries, and customer-facing materials.
• Lead top-tier customer engagements, build consensus, and support conversion of proposals into revenue.
• Maintain customer relationships and coordinate with marketing, design, packaging, applications engineering, firmware, and software teams.

Requirements

• 15+ years of multidisciplinary experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Understanding of power architecture and products for CPUs and high-current ASICs.
• Experience with multiphase voltage regulators or other datacenter power products.
• Knowledge of magnetics design, passive component selection, power-device driver challenges, and real-world implementation.
• Experience with embedded SoCs and cross-functional collaboration across hardware, firmware, and software teams.
• Bachelor’s degree required; strong technical and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in power engineering.
• Experience with high-level modeling tools such as SIMPLIS.
