Power Infrastructure Lead (ASIC Power)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Proof of the right to work in the United States is required. Access to export-controlled technology is subject to applicable authorization or export licensing.

Base pay range: $205,740.00–$251,460.00 per year, plus possible variable/incentive compensation and equity.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy power analysis flows and models to collect and analyze IP power consumption.
• Correlate power models with RTL and silicon results.
• Develop power models for architecture exploration and development.
• Create methods to predict the power impact of design changes.
• Guide architecture, design, and physical design teams toward energy-efficient IPs.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in power benchmarking, analysis, and modeling.
• Experience assessing power impacts at the architecture, logic design, and circuit levels.
• Good knowledge of high-performance out-of-order CPU computer architecture.
• Experience guiding performance-versus-power trade-offs toward optimal designs.
• Experience with ASIC power analysis and optimization.
• Competency in software engineering best practices for maintaining and refactoring very large object-oriented codebases.
• Self-starter with fast-learning ability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Must provide satisfactory proof of the right to work in the United States and meet applicable export-control access requirements.

Nice to have

• Hands-on expertise in hardware development, including RTL or implementation flows, verification/validation, backend flows, or FPGA flows.
• Hands-on software development experience.
