Sr Manager, Cloud Engineering (AWS)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; hybrid schedule with three days in-office and two days virtual

What you will do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing Cloud Engineering team.
• Set strategic direction, technical roadmaps, architecture standards, governance controls, and operational procedures for enterprise cloud platforms.
• Design, deploy, and operate secure, highly available, scalable, and cost-effective AWS environments.
• Oversee cloud networking, including VPC architecture, hybrid connectivity, routing, segmentation, and traffic management.
• Partner with Architecture, Security, Application Development, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Drive automation, self-service, monitoring, incident management, disaster recovery, cost optimization, FinOps, metrics, budgeting, and vendor management.

Requirements

• Expert-level experience designing and operating large-scale AWS environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Amazon VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, ALB, NLB, EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Organizations, and Control Tower.
• Experience with Direct Connect and site-to-site VPN.
• Strong people leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience establishing engineering standards, modernizing infrastructure practices, and leading cloud adoption or transformation initiatives.
