Senior Manager, Enterprise Cloud Database Platforms (AWS/Azure)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota; in-office collaboration required at least four days per week, with one day per week available to work from home

Base salary: $114,500–$157,000 per year, with potential variable compensation and incentives.

What you will do

• Design, implement, provision, and govern secure, standardized, scalable cloud services across AWS and Azure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, and GitOps practices.
• Manage cloud landing zones, governance capabilities, networking, logging, monitoring, security, and access management.
• Consult with application architects and software engineers on cloud-native designs and plan complex application migrations, including refactoring.
• Analyze telemetry and log data to resolve complex cloud issues and identify cost and performance optimization opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to engineering staff, vendors, and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent four-year education and 5–7+ years of relevant experience.
• At least five years of cloud platform engineering and integration experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Deep knowledge of IAM and core infrastructure services, including compute, storage, and networking.
• At least two years of experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Strong analytical, communication, customer service, reasoning, and technical leadership abilities.
• Must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• AWS Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Experience with scripting, automation, Jenkins, Ansible, serverless applications, containers, EKS, or AKS.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, networking, storage, disaster recovery, and application recovery.
• Programming experience with Python, PowerShell, or Groovy.
