Sr. Java/Kotlin Software Engineer, Everpure Resilience

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office work from the Prague office is required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate high-throughput data processing services between edge devices and the cloud platform.
• Partner with Product Managers to translate complex requirements into scalable and resilient system architecture.
• Improve system performance, security, and cost efficiency for real-time data flows.
• Use testing, CI/CD, and automation to support fast and stable deployments.
• Resolve interoperability challenges between new and legacy components to maintain high availability across regions.

Requirements

• Experience architecting, building, and testing components in large-scale distributed environments.
• Strong Java or Kotlin backend development skills, including high-performance, secure, and maintainable code.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, Linux environments, and basic networking.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and continuous-learning skills.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of IP addressing, routing, VLANs, and virtual-machine networking.
• Experience with VMware vCenter/ESXi or AWS networking infrastructure.
