Senior Java Engineer

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java backend applications, services, REST APIs, and new product features.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code using object-oriented principles and design patterns.
• Design data models and optimize queries across relational and non-relational databases.
• Build automated unit, integration, and system tests and participate in code reviews.
• Integrate changes into Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines and use Python and Bash for development automation.
• Deploy, debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues in Linux environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Commercial Java development experience with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Experience with REST APIs, backend services, relational databases, SQL, automated testing, Maven, and Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and basic scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
• Experience working in Linux environments and understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good written and spoken English and the ability to work in Brno, Czechia.
