Senior Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote-first within the United States, with preference for candidates in Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, or other cities with hirify.global offices. Due to export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, refugees, or individuals granted asylum in the United States.

Salary: $165,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Build production-grade React and TypeScript applications for an AI-powered hardware product-development platform.
• Develop and maintain a shared component library and design system.
• Create interfaces for requirements traceability, phase and gate tracking, dependency graphs, task boards, and version-controlled project plans.
• Build AI-agent experiences including streaming chat, coordination alerts, and AI-generated summaries and deliverables.
• Implement portfolio dashboards showing cross-project cost, schedule, and risk for engineering leaders and executives.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API integration while contributing to architecture, code reviews, and testing practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years building production web applications, including 3+ years focused on React.
• Expert-level React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript skills.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude.
• Experience with component-driven development, design systems, Storybook, responsive design, and CSS frameworks, preferably Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with modern build tools such as Vite or esbuild and API integration patterns including REST, OpenAPI, and generated clients.
• Ability to deliver quickly while maintaining maintainable, well-tested code with unit and end-to-end tests.

Nice to have

• Experience in early-stage 0-to-1 startups or with hardware development and engineering workflows.
• Experience building AI/LLM interfaces, data visualizations, dashboards, or B2B SaaS products.
• Familiarity with headless component libraries, OIDC, JWT, Playwright, or Cypress.
