Location: Columbia, South Carolina, United States

Salary: $250,000–$278,000 annually, paid bi-weekly.

What you will do

  • Build, lead, and develop a multidisciplinary nuclear engineering organization and establish its management system, technical authorities, design responsibilities, and decision rights.
  • Provide executive engineering leadership across site development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover, and operations.
  • Set engineering plans, priorities, schedules, deliverables, and performance metrics while ensuring design maturity supports procurement and construction.
  • Integrate constructability, modularization, supply-chain realities, commissioning, maintenance, reliability, and long-term plant operations into engineering decisions.
  • Manage technical interfaces and accountability across reactor technology providers, architect-engineers, EPC partners, utilities, suppliers, and other engineering organizations.
  • Develop a repeatable fleet-build model using standardization, configuration control, reusable engineering work products, data, automation, and AI.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of engineering and leadership experience in nuclear power, major power generation, or similarly complex regulated infrastructure.
  • Significant experience with commercial nuclear power plants or nuclear new-build projects across engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, major projects, or asset management.
  • Deep understanding of nuclear plant systems, engineering programs, configuration management, design control, and industry standards.
  • Experience leading large multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing architect-engineers, OEMs, EPC organizations, utilities, and major suppliers.
  • Ability to resolve complex technical and execution challenges while balancing nuclear safety, quality, cost, schedule, constructability, and operability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree or Professional Engineer license is preferred.
